WhiteHawks - Champions of PurePlay HCCL 10

I would like to begin by thanking PurePlay for their support throughout the tournament, it is with the support of such companies, the participating teams and most importantly God's grace that we are able to conduct such successful tournaments. Hyderabad is probably the corporate cricket capital of India now with all the great grounds and awesome teams that are here now.

Also Special thanks to Zonah's LazerOps that have been supporting us for many tournaments now.

The Whitehawks team had looked like one of the favorites to win the Cup right from the beginning, 3 very good left arm spinners (including the top 2 wicket takers) helped their team stay on top throughout the tournament.
In the Finals they took on the Doctors of ExcelCC and posted a modest total of 136 after batting first. At one point when Dr Asif Baig and Waseem khan were batting it seemed like they would bring their team home, but when they fell to the tight bowling of WhiteHawks while trying to accelerate.

The captain of WhiteHawks, Venkat Ramana, won the crucial man of the match award in the finals after scoring 26 runs and also taking 3 wickets.

Kartheek Gantela won the MVP award after taking 13 wickets and 232 runs and finishing with 126 MVP Points. Bhargav Vasu of  Pegasystems was a very close second with 12 wickets and 228 runs but Kartheek got the edge since his performance eventually got his team the victory.

Hari Krishna won the Best bowler award with 16 wickets at an economy rate of 4.3

Dr Asif Baig won the best batsman award after scoring 235 runs in the Platinum Cup

The Gold Cup Finals turned out to be a very exciting affair, Super Strikers posted a total of 131 and F11 had the run rate well under control for the longest time. Super Strikers however had other plans, they kept the pressure and took wickets at regular intervals and in the end won by just 1 run when F11 was all out for 130 at the end of the 19th over. It was a very thrilling match!

The Carbon Cup Final was another hard fought game, Pete Transformers posted a total of 143 and Cigniti Technologies were able to get that total in the 19th over. The light had started to dull but the batsman, Kevin, was very confident and kept dispatching the ball to the boundary and won the man of the match award and got the win for the team.
