HCCL wins Zonah LaserMaxx Cup
It was a befitting final for what has been an exciting tournament, Ivy Comptech batted first and scored 172 runs led by Deepak Verma who scored 96 runs off just 49 balls. In their chase HCCL started a little slow and needed 100 runs to win in 10 overs, Qutub Alam Khan hit 61 off just 38 balls with 6 sixes and HCCL seemed to be cruising to the victory.
Qutub edged one to the keeper with 4 overs to go and 42 runs required. It was a tall ask and it came down to 21 runs off the last 7 balls.
Zulfi Mirza hits a four towards square leg
Mir Umair Ahmed hits a huge six over mid wicket, followed by 2 fours and another six to finish the game with 2 balls to spare.
Deepak Verma is adjudged the man of the match for his 96 off just 49 balls.
Harsh Pensi was won the "Best Bowler" award
Qutub Alam Khan won the most sixes award after hitting 22. He also won the "best batsman" award for scoring 320 runs at an average of 64 and strike rate of 158.
Qutub also won the "Man of the series" award after being 100+ runs ahead of the next batsman and also having 8 dismissals as the keeper which included 2 "Laser catch of the match" awards in the Semis and the Finals.

The two Semi Finals were equally close. In the first game Zonah developers was chasing a modest total of 123 but Ivy Comptech bowled really well and Atif put up a valiant effort in the end, Zonah required 17 to win and Atif hit 3 fours keeping their hopes alive, but in the End Zonah fell short by 2 runs.

In the Second game Aaqib and Swapnil were standout performers for IBM's SARM but in the end Sagar's 5 wicket haul and Qutub's 60 gave HCCL the edge. HCCL ended up winning by 8 runs.
