The last match of round five was a do or die match for Phoenix. They were in a freak situation where they would be eliminated if they lost and would top the group if they won. They ended up winning with the help of some excellent batting by captain Syed Salman and Phoenix ended up winning even after a valiant effort by the stallions and especially by Imad Farooqui who scored 59.
