In the first round we saw a lot of one sided matches and big wins, we also saw five 50s and two 5 wicket hauls. What does round two have in store?
In the last tournament Zonah had won only two out of their five league matches but they persisted and fought hard and went on to beat some of the top teams to become champions!! Will we see some of the other teams bounce back this week? or will the first round winners continue to dominate?
Some of the big games this week
Kargeens vs Tiger CC - both teams registered big wins in their first games. Kargeens managed to restrict Richy Strikers to a small total with a solid all round bowling performance and were able to make quick work of the small total. Rebellion Shield had Tigers CC in a lot of trouble at 88/7 in 11.4 overs, at this point it looked difficult to get to 130, however an excellent and explosive inning by Abbas Jafri who scored 63 off just 29 balls (including 5 sixes) saw Tiger CC get to a solid 187 by the end of their innings.
Phoenix vs Pegasystems - both these teams registered big wins as well, Bhargav Vankalaya was the stand out player for Pegasystems taking 6 wickets and scoring 47 runs and Fiyazuddin Amer top scored for Phoenix with 67 off just 39 balls.
